Noelene was appointed to the position of Director Corporate Strategy and Performance at the City of Wanneroo in July 2014. In this role she has responsibility for Business Excellence, Contracts and Procurement, Council and Corporate Support, Customer and Information Services, People and Culture, Property Services, Strategic and Business Planning, Strategic Finance and Transactional Finance.
Her previous position was the Executive Director State Emergency Management Committee where she set up a new sub-department of Fire and Emergency Services. Prior to this she worked as the Governance Executive at the Department of Planning including oversight of secretariat services for the Western Australian Planning Commission.
Noelene's career has taken her from Research at the University of Western Australia, Health Computing in Western Australia and South Australia, Land Information in South Australia, Local Government administration at the City of Perth to State Government Governance roles.
Her board responsibilities are with Relationships Australia WA as well as the Lord Mayor's Distress Relief Fund.
Noelene is an experienced member of the Australian Business Excellence Evaluators panel having started this work in 2000. Noelene utilises this knowledge and experience in her organisational development approach.
Noelene is a member of the Australian Computer Society, Local Government Professionals, the Institute of Public Administration of Australia and the Australian Institute of Management. She has a Bachelor of Science from University of Western Australia, a Graduate Diploma in Computing from Curtin University and a Master of Commerce majoring in Industrial Relations also from the University of Western Australia.
